Carroll Tarvin and her adopted Palomino "Aslan"
Carroll wanted her Palomino, who is named "Aslan" after the character in the Narnia movie and book, painted in full color! Aslan was homeless until Carroll adopted him. Carroll is a case worker for Pyramid Professional Resources helping humans without homes and work find new lives.
Franz Kafka is a favorite!
Terri and Michael Baker commissioned a portrait of Terri’s favorite author, Franz Kafka. Terri has long admired the indomitable spirit that enabled Kafka to survive many tragedies in his life, including a painful childhood at the hand of his tyrannical father. He continued to write. producing some of the most memorable characters in literary history. I tried to capture Kafka’s intensity through a special treatment of his eyes, and an edgy background. Sophie looks Proud!
Judy Worrell rescued Sophie two years ago when the Bichon Frise was ten years old, and the two have been very happy together! Sophie was also pleased to pose for her portrait, which became the center of attention

Bill Deehan commissioned a portrait of his grandaughter, Madeleine, as a Christmas present for her parents. She was very easy to portray due to her beautiful blue eyes!
County Attorney Larry Roberts' Surprise!
When one of Larry's assistants decided to give him a portrait of his dogs for Christmas, she came to me! I was glad to paint them as one was a Golden Retriever and the other a Griffon. Both had such cute expressions! I had a great time painting them.

stands beside "Leopard," for the annual auction. "Obi" and Josh Blackmon
Obi is a "blue" Great Dane, and though I usually paint pet portraits on a 16" x 20" canvas, I needed more room for Obi, and elongated him to 16" by 24." Josh picked up the wet painting on a rainy Sunday afternoon, as he needed to return to Georgia, and Obi's image spent the trip propped up on a garbage bag! Terri Cohen and her Grandfather
Terri presented me with a black and white photo taken in the 1970's of her Grandfather, Mr. Cohen. I added color and painted him on a 16" by 20" canvas, and Terri seemed pleased.

Jake stated that the best portrait of him
