Binge Eating Disorder & Disordered Eating

Binge Eating Disorder (BED) is a specific type of eating disorder, characterized by a loss of control while eating at least once per week for 3 months.

Individuals with BED are at a higher risk of developing a transfer addiction after bariatric surgery (such as alcohol use, shopping, gambling, etc.).

My Approach

Evidence-based, sensory informed care.

By engaging your senses, you can soothe your nervous system and create the mental space necessary for true emotional transformation.

My counseling approach moves beyond the “top-down” approach of traditional talk therapy to engage the body’s natural regulatory systems.

What Therapy Looks Like

Group Therapy

There is so much power in group support among women on a similar path. Groups are more affordable than individual sessions, more dynamic, and supported by weight loss research for their effectiveness.

Individual Therapy

If you’re in need of formal mental health treatment for Binge Eating Disorder, transfer addictions, or related issues (mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, etc.), we meet remotely, wherever is convenient for you.

Text & Email Support

I offer text and email support to my clients, following the DBT model of treatment which includes skills coaching between sessions.
